Susan B. Anthony’s Dannenfelser Sees ‘Turning Point’ After Ginsburg

The successor to late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg will be a “turning point” in the history of abortion law, according to Susan B. Anthony List President Marjorie Dannenfelser.

Dannenfelser added a call for the GOP-led Senate (53-47) to move “swiftly” after the death of the 87-year-old Supreme Court Justice known as RBG.

“This is a turning point for the nation in the fight to protect its most vulnerable, the unborn,” Dannenfelser said in the national pro-life group’s official response to RBG’s death. “The pro-life grassroots have full confidence that President Trump, Leader McConnell, Chairman Graham, and every pro-life senator will move swiftly to fill this vacancy.”

The SBA List also released the following statement to her family after RBG’s loss.

“We offer our sincere condolences to Justice Ginsburg’s children, grandchildren, extended family, friends, and colleagues. The prayers of the Susan B. Anthony List team are with her family, as well as for our nation, at this time.”

Dannenfelser is the author of the recently released book “Life Is Winning: Inside the Fight for Unborn Children and Their Mothers.”

Vice President Mike Pence wrote in the book’s forward:

“Marjorie has precisely captured how far the pro-life movement has come and how much we stand to achieve at this pivotal moment. It has never been more critical for each of us to continue to stand up and speak out. I trust that this important book will encourage and inspire government to play an even greater role in restoring the sanctity of life to the center of American law and to encourage us never to doubt that the Author of Life is with us in these efforts.”
