LINCOLN COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Crab Orchard man is charged with drug trafficking and a long list of other offenses after a scrap with Lincoln County Sheriff’s deputies early Tuesday and a passenger in his car ends up in jail, too,
According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department and Detention Center records, 38-year-old Gary Caldwell was arrested at about 1:30 a.m. for meth trafficking, escape, DUI, resisting arrest, criminal mischief, evidence tampering,and menacing, among other things.
His passenger, 42-year-old Billy Rayburn, of Mt. Vernon, was charged with marijuana
possession ad failure to pay fines on a previous case.
The department said K9 Deputy Michael Mullins saw two suspicious vehicles at the Valero in Crab Orchard. After conducting a traffic stop on one of the vehicles, deputies found suspected methamphetamine, suspected marijuana, Xanax, cash and digital scales, according to the department.
